Clay Camps
Dates:
Week 5 PM: July 7th - July 11th
Time: 2 - 5pm
Ages: 12-17
Clay is loved by all! In this clay camp, students will learn the process of handbuilding to create a variety of sculptural pieces. Through techniques such as pinch pots, slip ‘n' score, slab and coil building, students will use their hands and imaginations to create out of this world artwork!
Camp includes clay, glazes, materials, and firing. Pieces will take at least 2-3 weeks to finish firing after camp and we will reach out once they are ready for pick-up.
Dates:
Session #1: June 2nd - 13th (10 days)
Session #2: July 14th - 25th (10 days)
Time: 9am - 12pm
Ages: 9-12
Clay is loved by all! In this camp intensive, students will learn to throw on the wheel and make various vessels - including cups, bowls, and pots of different shapes and sizes. As part of the class, they will learn all aspects of using the potter’s wheel: preparing the clay, centering it on the wheel, forming a shape, and finishing a piece, as well as how to trim and glaze their work. They will also have the opportunity to do some handbuilding projects during the camp. Students must come in clothes that can get dirty and bring a snack/water for break time.
Camps include a bag of clay for each student, glazes, materials, and firing. Pieces will take at least 2-3 weeks to finish firing after camp and we will reach out once they are ready for pick-up.

Session #2: July 28th - August 8th (10 days)
